Day one of Peace:
Affirmation: Today I think thoughts of Peace
Fill your mind with thoughts of peace. Think of memories that brought you peace and stillness and if you are unable to recall any, use your amazing Imagination to think of peace.
Throughout the day see the word PEACE in your minds eye, see it in whatever size or colour, feel the peace flowing through your mind, relaxing your nervous system, unclenching your jaw and notice your shoulders drop to resting positionx.
Repeat the Affirmation
Peace is an inside job
Day 2 of Peace
Affirmation: I choose to feel peace in every breath
Breathing in for a count of 4, hold for a count of 4, breathing out for a count of 4, hold for a count of 4. And repeat
With each inhale imagine peace filling up your lungs, chest and body. With each exhale release that peace around you. Directing your attention to the feeling of peace and stillness within and around you
Repeat affirmation
Remember: Peace is a feeling inside all of us
Day 3 of Peace
Affirmation: I slow down and enjoy the gifts of life
In every incident, challenge and opportunity we receive a window of 1-2 seconds to respond rather than get caught up in our emotions and react.
Choose to notice this space, take a deep breath in those moments to listen to your truth before you act.
They say we all have a book within us, but words in a book would be meaningless without spaces in-between, we need the pause in-between to understand what is being said.
Practice your pause today, connect to the peace that is already within you, notice the space between each word when speaking, listening and writing.
You will be surprised at how much peace is and always has been available to you.
Day 4 of Peace
When we observe life, people and situations from a place of non-judgement we can accept them as they are, change our vibration, build our intuition and trust our decisions by keeping our mind open to possibilities rather than limitations.
What you give your attention to internally (thoughts) and externally, multiples, so choose to see peace and beauty. Set your mind a challenge today, ask it to actively look for peace in every place possible.
Peace can be seen and felt when we take time to appreciate the stillness of a lake, watch a Swan glide elegantly by, gaze at a rainbow and drink in its vibrant colours, watch a squirrel stand on its back legs munching on a nut, cloud watching, looking into the eyes of your pet, watch the tide coming and going, star gazing or watching a sunrise or sunset.
Take the time today to appreciate peace, life shows us in many ways, what other ways do you see it?
Affirmation: everything I see fills me with peace
Day 5 of Peace
We have two ears and one mouth for a reason, being heard makes us feel validated, understood and cared for, so by effective listening you are removing your filter of what is being said and providing a space for the person to share their feelings and emotions.
When your listening is not effective your listening from your own filter, you are hearing words but being judgemental or missing out on important facts. Good listening can make you reach better or more peaceful decisions in relationships and professional life.
Listen to both your needs and others, remove your filters or what you may think is needed and listen effectively Listening to soft music, chimes, bells or crystal bowls can shift negative vibrations in our energy. Listen to a running river or rain can bring peace. Let me know what sounds bring you inner peace.
Affirmation: I make space to listen
Day 6 of Peace
Affirmation: Peace exists within me at all times
We are always searching for peace outside of ourselves when all we need to do is remember it is always there inside of us, lying beneath a busy mind
Just like when you know something, its more powerful than when you think you know something. You do not waiver, you trust your knowing even when doubt presents itself.
Practice connecting to your knowing, trust that everything will present itself .
Give your mind a break today and try a mindful walk today, connect with one or all of your senses. Focus on your breath, what you hear, see, smell taste and feel without judging it, just allowing each sound, sight, smell, taste and feeling sensation.
The more mindful you become the more connected you are to your inner knowing. Enjoy the connection with your body.
